App Store & Google Play Requirements
What size should App Store screenshots be?

App Store screenshot sizes depend on the device. For iPhone 15 Pro (6.7"), screenshots must be 1290×2796 px (portrait) or 2796×1290 px (landscape). For iPhone 15 (6.1"), 1179×2556 px. For iPhone 14 Plus and older 6.7" models, 1284×2778 px. Capturioo exports at up to 3× resolution — well above App Store Connect minimums for every supported device.

What are the Google Play screenshot requirements?

Google Play accepts screenshots between 320 px and 3840 px on any side, with a maximum 2:1 aspect ratio. PNG or JPEG, under 8 MB each. Minimum 2 screenshots required, up to 8 per device type. Capturioo Portrait format (1080×1920 px at 1×, up to 3240×5760 px at 3×) meets all Play Store requirements.

How many screenshots can I upload to the App Store?

Apple allows up to 10 screenshots per device size per language localization. Most developers upload 5–8. With Capturioo you can build as many scenes as you need and export each one individually.

What is an app store mockup?

An app store mockup is a marketing image that places your app screenshot inside a realistic device frame — like an iPhone 15 Pro or Google Pixel 8 — with a styled background, headline text, and visual effects. Mockups make your listing look professional on App Store, Google Play, your website, and social media without needing a designer.

Do I need a designer to create App Store screenshots?

No. Capturioo is built specifically so indie developers and non-designers can create professional-looking App Store screenshots without Figma or Photoshop. Pick a template, drop in your screenshot, and export — the whole thing takes under 30 seconds.

What's the difference between App Store and Google Play screenshot sizes?

App Store requires exact pixel dimensions per device model (e.g. 1290×2796 for iPhone 15 Pro). Google Play is more flexible — it accepts any size between 320 px and 3840 px per side as long as the aspect ratio is 2:1 or less. Capturioo's Portrait canvas covers both stores at 3× export.

General
Is Capturioo really free?

Yes. No credit card, no trial period, no watermarks. The core editor is free forever. Pro is coming soon with advanced effects, more templates, higher export resolutions, and collaboration — but everything in the Free tier today stays free.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can open the editor and start building right away — no sign-up, no credit card. Your work is saved locally in your browser between sessions. An account is only needed for Pro and Teams features like cloud projects, collaboration, and cross-device access.

Does Capturioo work on mobile?

The editor is designed for desktop browsers and works best on a laptop or desktop with a larger screen. We're exploring a lighter mobile experience for the future.

Which browsers are supported?

Capturioo works on all modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and Brave. We recommend Chrome or Edge for the best performance and export quality.

Devices & Backgrounds
What devices are supported?

Eight devices: iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15, Google Pixel 8, Google Pixel 8 Pro, iPad Pro, iPad Air, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air. All frames include pixel-perfect details — dynamic island, physical buttons, glare, and true-to-life proportions.

Can I request a specific device?

Yes! Use the contact form or email hello@capturioo.com with the device you'd like to see. We prioritize devices based on community demand.

How many background presets are there?

Free includes 18 presets — 12 solid colors and 6 gradient bases (Pitch, Midnight, Aurora, Cosmos, Sunset, Ink). Pro unlocks 55+ presets, a custom two-stop gradient builder at any angle, spotlight effects, blur, and 6 texture overlays (dots, grid, lines, diagonal, cross). Custom image upload as a background is not currently supported.

Export & Formats
What export formats are available?

Three canvas formats: Portrait (ideal for App Store & Google Play listings), Square (perfect for social media posts), and Banner (great for feature graphics, web headers, and press kits). Free exports are PNG and JPEG at 1×. Pro adds 2× and 3× resolution, SVG, and PDF.

What resolution can I export at?

Free exports at 1× only. Pro unlocks 2× and 3× resolution. At 3× a Portrait canvas exports at 3240×5400 px — well above the minimum required by App Store Connect and Google Play Console. That's the strongest reason to upgrade if you're submitting to either store.

Is there a watermark on exports?

Never. Exports are clean, yours to use however you like no Capturioo branding added.

Can I export as JPEG or WebP?

JPEG is supported on all plans. PNG is also available on all plans. SVG and PDF export are coming with Pro. WebP is not currently supported.
